Our Commitment
We aim to make the Volvo Car Lifestyle Collection website accessible to all people, including people with disabilities. Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Current Accessibility Status
The accessibility issues identified by automated testing on the English homepage on 13 October 2026 have been addressed. Full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance has not been established; automated checks do not cover all accessibility requirements.
Known Accessibility Limitations
The latest automated Lighthouse check found no failing accessibility checks on the English homepage. Other barriers may still exist and require manual assessment.
These findings concern the tested homepage. Other accessibility barriers may exist on pages or in interactions that were not assessed.
Accessibility Improvements
On 13 October 2026, we increased the text contrast of the mobile product navigation dropdown and the newsletter Subscribe button, and underlined the footer link to the US shop. Lighthouse verification of the English homepage passed the automated text contrast and link distinction checks after these changes. We also connected the mobile category and product navigation dropdowns to their existing section headings so that they have accessible names, including when content is loaded dynamically. The subsequent mobile Lighthouse check passed the accessible-name check.
How We Assessed Accessibility
On 13 October 2026, Lighthouse 13.5.0 accessibility checks were run on https://collection.volvocars.com/en using mobile and desktop configurations in fresh, signed-out browser sessions.
Automated testing covers only some accessibility requirements. This review did not assess the complete shopping and checkout journey, documents or third-party services, and did not include a full manual keyboard or screen reader assessment. Further testing is needed to determine overall WCAG conformance.
